We are excited that you are interested in volunteering for the 2015 CIAA Basketball Tournament!  We are looking for great people to be ambassadors and support hospitality needs during Tournament Week.

Key volunteer information you should know before you participate:

• REQUIREMENTS : All volunteers are required to select at least two (2) shifts and one (1) training session to complete their registration.  All volunteers must be 18 years of age or older and may be asked to lift up to 20 lbs.

• AVAILABILITY:  Beginning Monday, February 23 and running through Saturday, February 28, there are opportunities for all interested volunteers with multiple dates and shifts available.  Volunteer positions are available in the following areas: Hospitality and Event Support.

• TRAINING:  Additionally, all volunteers will be required to attend one (1)  training session.   At the training, volunteers will receive information specific to their activity, learn more about the Charlotte community and Tournament Week.  All volunteers must sign up for a preferred training time to complete registration.  Training will take place at the Charlotte Convention Center (Room 207BC)  on the following dates:
• Tuesday, February 17 – 12:00pm to 1:00pm & 6:00pm to 7:00pm
• Thursday, February 19 – 12:00pm to 1:00pm & 6:00pm to 7:00pm

• UNIFORM:  Volunteers will receive an official CIAA Basketball Tournament volunteer long-sleeved t-shirt.  The shirt must be worn with well maintained black pants (no jeans or leggings) and comfortable shoes.  The shirt will be given to each volunteer when they check-in for their first shift.  The provided uniform should not be altered. 
• PARKING:Validated Center City parking will not be available.

If you plan to travel to Charlotte to volunteer for this event; transportation, lodging and any other travel expenses are the responsibility of each individual, not the CIAA.
